IMAR Survey, a leading hydrographic and geophysical survey specialist based in Ireland has appointed Mick Colley as its new General Manager.
Mick joined the Gardline Marine Sciences Group in 1974 and has over 35 years experience of the marine surveys industry, but in particular has a wealth of knowledge within the geophysical, environmental and oceanography sectors. More recently Mick’s time has been spent developing Gardline’s renewable capabilities and his move to IMAR comes at a time when it is also focussing its efforts on opportunities emerging in the Irish offshore renewable energy market.
IMAR anticipates that Mr Colley’s move to Gardline’s sister company will encourage the company to penetrate the evolving renewable market in Ireland. Mick explains, “I am delighted to have joined IMAR’s busy and experienced team and our primary focus over the next few months will be to target the Irish renewable energy sector but not forgetting our existing clients and the other markets within Ireland and overseas. We have identified the Irish renewable market as an important investment for IMAR and we will provide our clients, old and new, quick and cost effective solutions for their particular areas of interest in this expanding sector”.
IMAR already has an established reputation in Ireland and with the back-up of the Gardline Marine Sciences Group the company is set for further growth and expansion. In order to support future activity and to optimise operational capabilities within the region, and across Ireland, IMAR has relocated its offices to the Casla Industrial Estate in Casla, County Galway.
A seminar highlighting IMAR and its renewable capabilities will be held during October 2009. For further information regarding how you can attend the seminar or any other information please contact Mick Colley +353 (0)91 572047 or mick.colley@imarsurvey.com or mick@imarsurvey.com
